I own a 9mm AR for that exact reason--- I have 2 dozen 32rd Uzi mags....

Yes.

There have been AKs made to take PPSH drums, Saiga FCGs and Saiga sporter stocks. Put them all together and that's what I want to build to use my drums.

I'm just not experienced with AK building and have plenty of easier projects lined up ahead of me.

Some day I hope to do it.

Hell I traded an SKS for a pistol just because I had ammo for the pistol. I Traded an SKS for a Russian IZ-70 Mak in .380, had an old box of .380 kicking out in my garage from when I had a Hi-Point .380 dang near 6 years ago when I lived in oklahoma. Got given a Yugo SKS from a buddy, already had one so I traded it with a nother calgunner on here. Best thing I did too, that mak is a sweet shooter and seriouslty making me consider applying for a CCW permit.

Yes! I have about 12-20 round mags for a Ruger Mini-14, and I don't even own one lol. One day soon though

I definitely bought the 1918 BAR because I had the magazines - I wanted the gun long before I got the mags though. I just bought a Benelli MR1 because I have AR +10 round magazines laying a round for the Volquartsen.

I bought an SKS cuz I had 7.62x39 ammo.... I bought the wrong ammo for my M44... couldnt let it go to waste.

But the MP5? You'd have to do the build as a featureless carbine since the pistol variant would have to have a maglock.

Personally, I'd find a way to build a featureless Uzi/Mac clone that accepted the MP5 mags!

LOL on that one! I have ammo that has been given to me over the years by folks that know I have firearms. Most of which I dont even own the gun that fires them....I have a hard time saying no to ammo!
