Now that is a good reason. A vertical forgrip works really well too.

I guess I prefer my freefloat VTAC handguard which combined with the JP barrel heatsinks keep my rifle really cool.

I do understand they are not for everyone. I just feel the ability to add rails as you go is a better option.

Ok history of the "killa" thing. I was an active duty Marine for 13 yrs and I had a SSgt in 1998 you used to call everyone "killa". I started doing it when I picked up Cpl. Now I call everyone killa insteafe of dude, man, guy, girl, whatever. It's just some thing I do as a term of friendship and respect. Also I say "gangsta" when I think something is cool and EPIC if it's well EPIC!

On topic I like my railS for the use of lights, foregrip, lasers and lets be honest EPICness. The slick handguard above are pretty cool BUT just not my thing. I like the one guys striped deal with the Magpul stuff, GANGSTA! I love the opinions, carry on, KILLA! Also stated above was a great fact about the heating of the rails after rapid fire. +1

The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.
I'm with the people on the side just pouring water in the glass trying to get a drink!

Oh it works fine. People remember me by those words for some reason. LOL Also I got the Magpul railcovers and I had to say they where a bit annoying at first but came out fine in the end. Very happy with my purchase......for now.

I guess being "remembered" on an internet forum is pretty high on your priority list if you go to such lengths to type in your little "killa" buzzword into every single post in which you are addressing someone.

Ok lets be clear once again. I don't say those words to be rememebered by anyone. I really talk like that. I say "killa", "epic", "gangsta" and have been know to say "errrr " in response to something and I still prefer to be called Evans instead of my first name cause I was called that long before I became a Marine. I don't live on the internet I just like the tool. Just like I like guns. If I wished to be remebered for anything I would like to be remembered for my faith in Jesus, service to him and the country and being a good husband, friend and dog owner. Not being remembered by my choice of favorite words, sir. Not ranting just stating facts.

                On topic:

Has anyone used these? I saw a couple at Parallax and they look interesting.

Now once again I'm not knocking the hustle but they're not my thing. I would like to see them on a rifle, though

It's true, he does say killa, and gangsta, and epic. It's how he talks. I call everything awesome, even if something or someone is decidedly not awesome.

                  It's not personal, killas.

Here's a pic of the Troy's on an older config of my DD carbine. I like them on this rifle, because they have a pretty agro texture (and they are very solid.) The TD's are good on my long distance setup, because there isn't as much grabbing-and-going with that rifle.
