So the Ausa receiver will take the mak 90 parts? This receiver can also take the bullet button? I'm still thinking I would need a gunsmith to assemble it with rivets=/. Or do receivers come with nuts and bolts for reassembly?

I think I've read about people shimming AKM flats to make them work with the MAK kits. Nothing I'd want to do, but if you really want it...

If you're feeling extremely adventurous, there's always the option of buying blanks and doing everything yourself.

That would be awesome if there was going to be one close by.

                Factual answer.

Get a Dremel tool and grind the heads off of all the rivets and then with a pair of channel locks peel the receiver sheet metal away.

                Hypothetical answer.

Same as above but cutting up and disposing the old receiver would render the rifle no longer an rifle but parts and all the parts of a MAK 90 are legal except the actual receiver.

I imagine one would have to tap the rivets out of whatever they were penetrating in the rifle. Unless they fall right out.

You have to tap them out, they're snug. Just get a punch and hammer.

After the receiver metal is pulled away a bit more grinding to remove more rivet material and then you punch out the rivets.
