    CA SBR/Assault Weapon clarification?

Hey all, I need some help clearing up some questions I have regarding SBRs and assault weapons in CA. From what I understand, it is illegal to own an assault weapon in CA unless it is "pre-ban", registered before a certain date. My question is, if I were to get approved for a NFA SBR in CA, are the bullet button and ten round mag that make an AR type platform not an assault weapon still required or are SBR's exempt?

    Thanks

Bullet Buttons and 10 round mags are for compliance with CA AW laws, they have nothing to do with federal NFA rules. How do you plan on getting approved for an NFA SBR in CA?

How are you going to get approved for an assault weapon /SBR in California?

If you have a registered assault weapon in California it doesn't need a BB and can use high capacity magazines.

I was under the impression that I could set up a trust and get around the CLEO and DOJ for SBR registration? Is that incorrect? I know there's no way to get an assault weapon unless CA exempts NFA weapons from those mag capacity restrictions.

The only reason I thought this was possible is Ohio has a mag capacity restriction that NFA weapons are exempt from.

I imagine there are a few exceptions for assault weapons in California but for the average Joe, NO WAY!

Jeezus, WTF does Ohio have to do with CA laws?

              1. You won't get an AW permit. This is why we have BulletButtons
              and off-list receivers.

              2. You can use hicap mags if you had them grandfathered, if your
non-grandfathered (i.e, not a reg'd AW) semiauto centerfire rifle has
no evil features (i..e, no FH, telestock and has a special non-pistol grip).

              3. NFA trusts only work in CA for AOWs ,due to a specific exemption
for AOWs (pistols with forward grips and 12ga AOWs like Serbu Super
Shortys) only. SBRs, SBSes and MGs all require their own special CA
              permits, which you won't get.

In CA, trusts/corporations need a valid CA DOJ BOF Dangerous Weapons permit.
Unless, you are in the movie/tv industry working as a prop master with the backings of a major studio or a FFL/SOT selling/manufacturing for Gov/Mil/LE agencies, you will not get a CA DOJ BOF Dangerous Weapons permit/license.

                  hahaha, nice!
Fallujah had become a magnet for foreign jihadists and there were several thousand in the city who had come to make martyrs of themselves, to die while killing as many Americans as possibleAt each house I said a prayer, 'Please God get me out of this one.'
