M1A .308, AR .223, 1911 .45......Shotguns are nice but not essential but a Mossy 500 would be good in any situation. 3 is just not enough

Pump action shotguns can have pistol grips as long as the overall length is 26" inches.

I thought the same thing. I'd buy 20 and put them up on gunbroker, turn 50% profit.

Well, I could hypothesize and list what I think is best, or I could just list what I've actually spent hard-earned money on.
            1. Remington 870 HD
            2. Used Ruger GP-100 4"
Next is a rifle of some sort. I'm looking at maybe getting an SKS.

Ideally, if I had more $$$... (thinking of SHTF):
            1. Keep the 870
            2. XD-45 Compact
            3. M1A or M1 Garand w/ stockpile of enbloc .30-06
I am not a lawyer, the above does not constitute legal advice.

I would argue the Rem 870, Ruger GP, SKS combo might be the best bargain for reliable home defense set-up. Nice, frugal choices.

M1A Springfield for the NATO round rifle. Benelli Nova 12 Gauge (shotgun that has served me well), and a nice reliable .45 ACP revolver.

Thanks, I've put a lot of thought into my acquisitions. The good thing about having to save up is you get plenty of time to research and contemplate.

                          I gotta go with

AR 15 platform with multiple uppers in pistol calibers (including .22) with .50 Beowulf for game.

Glock that will interchange calibers such as a M23 with a .357 Sig and 9mm barrel and mags. Also cuts down on extra holsters.

Any decent 12 guage pump for SD and hunting with slugs.

Have a great gun carryin' Kenpo day

Whatever I shoot with most proficiently

Whatever has the most common and available ammo

Whatever has readily available spare parts.

EVERY Californian? MOST Californians are total idiots, much less capable of handling a firearm. Do you want Paris Hilton to have a gun?
                                What about Barbara Boxer?
