    SPR scope?

I am in the process of building my first SPR setup. So with that being said, what would you recommend for the budget of around 1k? This rifle will be used regularly at the 100-200yrd range and a rare occasion at the 500yrds+ range. I was looking at the Bushnell Elite 4200 series of scope, seems to be the best bang for the buck setup(3x9x40 for $200)? If so which specific one should I purchase? Also are the Larue rings worth the $200+ price tags? TIA!

I would recommend the Super Sniper 3-9x scope. Its a great piece of glass for the money, and is FFP and Mil/Mil

Make it a true SPR get a Leupold Mark 4 LR/T 3.5-10x-40mm illum. mil dot. You can find them used sub $1000 and sometimes new close to that on ebay. Only way to go on the mount is LaRue Tactical LT104-30 worth every penny.

Buy that .243 Rem 700 BDL in the "for sale" forum and mount a 16x SWFA SS in burris tactical rings and EGW picatinny rail.

Good out to 800, not fancy but will work under $1000.

Already purchased the complete upper. I am using a larue mount on my other AR but the price was comparable to the other mounts, unlike the scope mounts.

First Focal Plane...makes the reticle change size with magnification. Allows ranging regardless of mag setting.

Nikon m 223 seem like good scope for a SPR setup, to me its about bang for the buck more than the price of a scope.

For about 600 out the door you can get that Bushnell 3-12 scope. THAT one is a bang for your buck! The same scope went for ~$850 before the closeout special...

For a budget this is the scope you want. The glass on these are surprisingly clear. Otherwise get a Nightforce 2.5-10x32 with zero-stops. That is what's going on my mk12 mod0. Larue is selling the nightforce with their spr mount for $1575. You are practically getting their mount for free. I think anything larger than a compact scope the size of the SS 3-9 ffp or nightforce 2.5-10 on an spr is just too big. A large scope on an spr is just too bulky.
