My SKS is back to normal!

I'm so happy. A couple years ago I thought for some strange reason that it would be cool to buy a Tapco stock for my SKS. Ever since I did it I felt bad for altering it from its natural state. Tonight I had a sudden burst of motivation and changed it back. It took about an hour and a half but it was worth it.

I can't wait to shoot it this weekend.

Do that every 6 months or so and it will give you the satisfaction of buying a new gun every time. Less the money out of your pocket.

Very nice. I always think; You know it would be fun to put one of those fancy stocks on my SKS, then I take her out and give her a once over and say never mind.
          Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Hey - it's fun to play dress-up with your guns. As long as you're not permanently altering the gun and are just slapping on an aftermarket stock or some other doodad that has caught your fancy, you can easily change it back. It's why I have several stocks for my 10/22, many pairs of grips for my 1911, and various scope mounts for my tacticool rifles. When the mood suits me, I can go full mall ninja, or I can leave it plain Jane, bone stock. Either way, I wind up with a "new" gun.

It's a cheap way to pass the time between going shooting and actually getting more new guns.

                      Great!

Hard to tell the mag was blocked to 10 rounds and locked into position from the PIC.

Still think it is 100% better now.

I'm a HUGE fan of the SKS BTW.

I think most off us at one time have been tempted by the huge choice of aftermarket dress-up stocks and accessories for the SKS, and after a while many will go back to the stock configuration, simply because the SKS just works better the way Sergei Gavrilovich Simonov designed it.

Life can make you do many things, even kiss a man with a runny nose.
