1st AR Build - Lower Completed - Advice?

Well, it ain't pretty...yet; but I just completed my first AR build. Many thanks to CalGuns and RifleGear for developing yet another pit for my money and time...this one is looking pretty big. Since I have this particular forum to blame, I thought I would share, and seek some advice.

I am going back and forth on the upper, and here is where I could use some guidance. I would like to have two uppers (to start) a flat top 16" upper (similar to Sabre Defense) as well as a nice varmint/precision upper.

For Varmint, it is looking like RRA vs Stag 24", but open to suggestion.

For the flat top 16", I am at a loss, but as stated, I would like something functionally similar to the Sabre Defense uppers (minus the tag). It looks like Bushmaster has a modular carbine upper that may fit the bill, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

nice lower i just built one of those JD lowers yesterday
\as for the upper it is really a personal choice i would ask what are you going to use it for if you are building a varmint gun then go with a varmint upper but if you are just building a fun gun then go with the 16 inch upper
That punk pulled a Glock 7 on me. You know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. Dosen't show up on your airport X-ray machines, here, and it cost more than you make in a month.

I kinda like the Magpul MIAD full grip kits. They include the big trigger guard. The ACS would mount great with a set of high rings if you're going with a scope on your upper. A great beginning to the BGD/BFD virus! Congrats!!!
