$700 OTD for 5

Just got a 5 pack of these from Frontier; my total was almost exactly $700 for the 5....I've only shot one of them so far but its good to go with a basic Stag Upper I got here used in the market place. Its a good fit.

Frontier didn't charge me extra for BB installations, shipping was nominal and my DROS fees were $50. They charge $599 for the 5 pack - sales tax and shipping made up the ther $50

What is the shipping to California cost? Witht he bb installed?

The weight difference is about 7 ounces, I'd suck up those 7 ounces for the strength/reliability of a standard lower.

The issue isn't really polymer vs metal, but the fact that the AR lower was designed/dimensioned for 7000 ser Aluminum. There are lots of critical dimensions on it that can't be altered to allow the polymer to be thickened/reinforced to provide the needed strength.

Polymer works in glocks, and the SCAR/ACR/etc because those polymer parts were designed from the start to be polymer...

Definitely not for hard use. If it works for you, that's fine too.

I just ordered one on Monday and it's being shipped to my FFL right now. I plan on building it as a dedicated 22 rimfire.

I took my PC out a couple of weeks ago with the upper I had built for my S&W MP-15 lower and it worked fine. Put about a 100 rounds through it.

I like mine a lot and it works great for what I use it for.

in other instances a "plum fit" means that it fits snugly as it should.. and everyones reviews seem to prove that point so far, seriously thinking of picking one up! at 112$ + shipping and dros for a complete lower i dont think i can go wrong on a lightweight ar build itll be my first 556/223!
