    Not likely. Usually the condition you describe is caused from some kind of junk getting trapped under the front of the trigger, making it unable to rotate and release the hammer.

      Might check to see if pistol grip screw is just touching bottom of trigger restricting movement.

        Wouldn't that have been an issue from the start unless the screw managed to work it's way tighter over time?

          Geissele is designed to be a close fit with safety.

          You often have to slightly file the safety selector to really clear the Geissele trigger, so it is possible that you didn't get the selector in exactly the right spot relative to the trigger so it is hanging up. However, normally if you can pull the trigger and manipulate the safety selector then the trigger should release. If could still have some drag but unless the safety is actually completely obstructing the trigger, it should not stop you from firing.
