You scared me because I was looking at the same freaking deal! I can pick up the spike stripped lower and with this rifle kit, it's perfect!

look to the classifieds, AR are a plenty and most are high end for low end prices, for $1000 you should be able to get something decent

His site is pretty old and I've given him some cr*p about updating it.

He offers MUCH more than just what's listed on his site. Give him a call.
