    Advices on this AR15 please!!

My zombie setup that I have currently:

2 Wasrs - 1 Original and 1 "Tacticooled Ninja Stick"
    1 G17 9mm w/light and laser attached
    Rem 870 12GA

I thought I was finished but.....now I'm looking for an AR15 and I found this Website - http://tdsguns.com/store/product/880...E-DEARTH-.556/ - The store is about an hour from me . What do you think of this? I want it to be my home defense/plinker and be able to hit nice groupings at 100 yards and beyond, with a $200-$300 scope http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct...tnumber=168462.

Will she be able to do what I want her to do? Will this surpass my expectations? which I hope so. I am still lost in the LA-LA land of putting an AR15 together and hopefully this will satisfy me for many years to come. Thanks

Yes it'll do what you want. You can build your own lower receiver and just buy a built upper for far less.

You can easily build two ARs for the price of that one....

Check the marketplace here. You don't need to spend $1200+ on your first AR to group at 100 yards and beyond, especially if you're dropping another $200-$300 on a scope.
Fallujah had become a magnet for foreign jihadists and there were several thousand in the city who had come to make martyrs of themselves, to die while killing as many Americans as possibleAt each house I said a prayer, 'Please God get me out of this one.' I think that's a stretch, maybe 1.5 but I figure $700 for a cheap build.

Cheap builds are a waste of time and money. In the end you will always want something better. Ive gone through 3 AR's and was finally happy with my LMT. Determine what your budget is and go from there.

What is your absolute maximum price? I would go BCM over that S&W, but I have heard good things about their M&P Rifles.

Check AR15.com forums for great deals on slightly used AR's. If your buying new, Bravo Company (BCM) is probably the best bang for your buck in my opinion.

I strongly advice you do not buy something cheap for $700. I did and found myself constantly adding on to it and dumping more money into a Delton build. However, my personality is to always lean more towards nicer more expensive items.

For that price you might as well spend a few hundred more and pick up a complete Daniel Defense rifle.

That price is crap for what you're looking for. For example I saw 2 of them for sale (but in black) go for half that price and in like new condition. I really like my m&p and I liked my old one as well. For range use my friends' del-tons have been just as reliable I'n several thousand rounds fired. They also shoot steel core through their "cheap" del-tons.

Be realistic and see what mods, if any, you want to do to the thing. Buy once, cry once, but don't rip yourself off. BCM's are nice obviously and my old one never failed either. All my ar's shot around the same - about 2-3 moa at 100 yards with iron sights and a loose nut behind the trigger

                WTB used AK MFER.

with a LaRue mount that would be a nice setup. Good price too. People like to point at a website price showing a basic firearm and say its a better deal...add up the extras on the deal you posted and you will see its a good deal. The optics mount is just as important as the scope....dont cheap out and get an airsoft junk off e-bay.

Save your money and build one. You can build a nice ar for 700-800 dollars. And no it's not going to be junk either. Some people are brand loyal and can't see past their own nose. Bcm this delton that. Yadayada

I am reminded of the story about the pork chops.

The guy behind the counter says they are out of them, so she goes to another butcher down the street. She says to this butcher, "the guy down the street is selling pork chops for $1.00/lb". The butcher says, "well then why didn't you buy them from the guy down the street?" To which she replies, "well he doesn't have any". So the butcher say, "well if I didn't have any I could sell them for $1.00/lb. too".

On a more serious and hopefully more coherent note, I am actually a fan of cheap ARs especially for someone who is new to them and really doesn't know what they want. You get to see what kind of features and reliability issues are important to you without shelling out $2500 for a gun that isn't suitable for your needs. Somebody might buy one of these crazy full length quad rails 16" with iron sights and then realize that they really want a EOTech, but then discover that the front sight is too high for the EOTech sight line. Or someone else gets a cool looking 24" bull barrel gun with MAGPUL PRS stock and Harris bipod, but discovers that they hate target shooting and really just wanted a plinking rifle for their summer cottage in the woods. I went to the store with the idea of getting a single .308 AR style rifle for target shooting, but now I have 3 complete rifles and a couple of lower receivers and a box of spare parts, and thousands of dollars worth of assorted target ammo. I probably should have bought a cheap *** kit from Model 1 or someone like them, gotten to play with the gun and see what I really wanted.
