    Help with Lower assembly!!!

My friend and I both bought the same lower (spikes tactical) only a couple of serial numbers difference. Same lower parts kit. However my lower was assembled without any complication. On his though the pin for the trigger group would not line up properly. It seemed like the wholes on the frame were too low and the trigger group just wouldn't line up. We pushed it downs as far as we could without success.

    Any suggestions?

We tried the method were we put a pin punch through it and it made it all the way through, however when we tried putting in the pin it wouldnt go in at all.

Are you doing this with the safety selector out? Sometimes that pesky selector gets in the way.

The safety selector was not installed yet.

Try putting the trigger and disconnector in place without the spring. Does it go in freely? If so, the holes are in the correct place and the spring is either hung up on something or you're doing it wrong.

Will let him know to try that. He took the lower home so I cant try it at the moment.

Spikes uses large pins, not mil-spec.

An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......Cicero

Army, are you sure Spikes uses larger pins?

Both of my Spikes lowers were built with standard LPK's from Riflegear. I didnt order anyhting special or different and all parts fit well and nothing is loose.

What is the difference in the Mil spec and the "large" pins. I will throw the calipers on my lowers and pins when I get home and compare them to a couple other lowers.

My buddy stopped by yesterday for lower parts and a buttstock, with two brand new Spikes lowers he picked up Friday.

.155 standard pins simply fell through the .170 holes.

That's interesting! I've 4 Spikes lowers and I used various LPKs and they all fit/work fine.
