Which scope mounting base do I need to buy for the Remington SPS Tactical rifle .308 , there are 11 choices here: http://www.opticsplanet.net/egw-remi...ope-mount.html

anybody knew which one should I get?

Some one correct me if I am wrong but the 700 in .308 are short actions and a 20 MOA base is prefered for longer range shooting.

i either a 20 or 0 moa base would work, just depends on the distance the OP is planning on shooting.

Short action 20MOA should work good for ya. Just pick silver or black.

How do you determine if it needs short or long action? and what are the pros and cons between 0 MOA and 20 MOA?

Short action 223-308 and the like, long action 270-30.06..... 0 moa 20 moa depends on distance you want to shoot and mostly the amount of adjustment your scope has? if you go 20 moa and want to shoot inside of 100 yrds it can get tricky with some applications?
