Except how the heck would you load the thing ? Somehow fumble catridges through the ejection port and into the magazine ?
    Is there even enough room....

im actually making a wood monsterman style grip modeled after the original rear grip for the thompson.

im also making a bullet button setup for it so you can have the front and rear pistol grips.

CWS is more than happy to get thompsons to us, they had one at the costa mesa show for sale.

I go to Nevada alot so could I get a private party one there and take all the evil features off and bring it back or do I have to go through a dealer?

I'd be very interested in a bullet button for the Thompson.

But a 16" barrel is pretty lame anyways for that weapon. Still, if that's what it takes...

Lastly are there any 10-rd thompson mags available?

unless you are a resident of nevada (or have a 03 FFL and are buying a C&R gun), it'd be illegal for you to buy a gun in nevada.

I've been doing some homework on this.

                      1) Not banned by name, so we're OK there.

                      2) The X drum is a 10 rounder, so thats legal here.

                      3) If we buy it without the pistol grip, (or like my Historic Arms Bren Gun, with a short wooden nub) and with the horizontal foregrip, it should be perfectly ok to have 1 evil feature which is the detachable magazine.

Guys please check my logic and tell me if I missed anything.
I've already written to Kahr and asked them if they'll make them for us blokes in PRK.

I bought one from Coldwar/Pirate and its sitting in the hallway about 5 feet away. It is currently gripless as I need to either outfit it with the rumored magazine lock or design a monsterman for it and make it out of wood at a buddies wood working shop.

Pirate's prices are just fine and he'll ship you the pistol grips separately.

I have a friend with a Kahr/Auto-Ord Thompson. Blast to shoot. He custom made a flat palm rest to replace the pistol grip & used the flat forearm as opposed to the more traditional/civilian forward pistol grip. And the 16" bbl may not be as cool as an SBR but I assure whichever one of you it was that said that, it's still awesome.

Pirate14 doesn't always post his Tommy's on the website (mainly 'cause we all snap 'em up.) PM him or call them.
