Don't forget about the new LAR made Noveske's - super smooth finish.

I like the Superior Arms lowers too - the trigger take up screw is pretty cool - you need to check them over to make sure a bad one didn't get through quality control but I would do that with any lower (these days the manufacturers are in a rush).

Guilty. The supreme blackness of the Mega will make your finished rifle appear at least 2x more evil to any liberal, gun-grabber types who might see it.

Plus they're pretty CHEAP now, compared to when I bought mine 6 months ago.

I have two Megas and got them because of all the positive reviews on them when I first started this OLL craze. It is very black in finish and very smooth, and I have no problems with fit and installation of parts. I also got matching Mega uppers so color match is great. Keep in mind however, that if you ever consider refinishing these receivers in a different color, you will have to abrasive blast the parts to remove the Teflon finish first.

Having felt the fit and finish of POF, Stag, Mega, CMMG, Double Star, Lars, Ameetec, etc. The POF and/or the Sun Devil lowers feel and look the best, perhaps because of the billet construction... Consequently their cost is also higher. My choices were between Mega and CMMG and I went with Mega and am very happy.

I got some of the DSA lowers and those look pretty good. Finish is quite good and they are quite smooth as well.

A lot of lowers are like that at first then you soak them in a CLP bath overnight and the finish absorbs the oil. My RRA was like that and now it's silk black. That said, I've never handled an EA. Get yourself a Calguns lower, I started the DROS on mine today, it was beautiful, great finish, perfect markings, and its a "Calguns" lower. Come on.

Well they shouldn't be scratched....ie the AL showing through.

The park is sometimes rough and you can smudge them but it rubs out....

But you can't go wrong with a MEGA
