Need a front sight welded to my mosin

I chopped my mosin 91/30 some time ago down to 16", gave it a ridiculous commie red and sickle gold paint job.

Who can weld the front sight back on my barrel? And for how much dough? I have it cut off and contoured to fit on the barrel again (although the contour isn't perfect, but I don't care)

I silver soldered it, and it held up just fine untill I tried to drift the front sight to zero it. I need something thats going to HOLD ON, like a weld

i say turn it into a scout rifle and buy a good rail platform and scope for it.

I cut a new dovetail with some files. Google "dovetail cutting", you'd be surprised how easy it is.

Thats amazingly cool. unfortunately I am pretty sure that on my barrel the sight would be too low on the bore axis, causing my gun to shoot way too high. I will look into this though.

I think you're right, I used the MOJO peep sights and the taper of the AMD65 brake made the front sight the same height as the original mosin sight. Haven't shot it yet but I think it'll work, or at least be close. The rear MOJO sight is fully adjustable so I should be able to make it shoot straight.
