Battlerifle3G makes custom wood furniture for the Saiga. The link is below. I too am looking for an american made sporter stock for the Saiga as Battlerifle3G seems to have a long waiting period. I recently heard of someone modding a winchester 1300 stock to fit.

Hopefully someone familiar with a Saiga and winchester stock can chime in and let us know if the dimensions are the same.

OOOooo I like those. Thanks for the link. So with the modded G2 trigger, forend and stock Im 922r compliant.

If you make one yourself is it not safe to count that as a 922 compliant part since it would be home made?

I'd get the Saiga in the 308 mine runs very smooth with factory FCG BUT ive shot 1969MACH1's saiga 308 converted & its MUCH MUCH better. SanJoseGuy is correct it dont matter what you do to the factory ones it just sux - I plan on doing the Dinzag 2 stage trigger for my Saiga 308 - comes already buffed & polished ready to drop in. Plus the conversion is much easier on the 308 as I've heard from several who have done it.

If you leave the pistol grip off, either learn to shoot her with the "hunting style stock" a Monster Man Grip or just leave it off like the AK's Big 5 is selling (IO Inc 7.63x39 sale price for $520) - if your near Ammo Bros. they are going to have a special red tag sale NOV 6 - I got mine from their cerritos location - check them out, their on here & are sponsors -> ammobros.com - very good store with REAL customer service from true enthusiast that wont give you the attitude. lots of weekly deals too, print out the flier though

I know your going to say I work for them. I WISH!!!! employee discount but I work in real estate
            I mainly shoot .22lr, 9mm,45 acp, 357 & 38, 12G, 7.62x39, .308, .223/556, 7.62x54r, 300 win mag, 8x57

Yes, on a stock Saiga all you have to do is switch out 4 parts to be compliant as it contains 14 parts from the factory. You should be good to go making a home made part just as long as its from scratch. Modding a foreign part would not count. There is a similar thread on this from the Saiga 12 forums:

I have been trying to find exactly where the line is drawn for homemade parts. It seems that if I make a stock from the tree in my backyard its considered Made in the USA so therefor it counts but what if I modify the original parts? If I were to wrap the OEM plastic stock in lets say Carbon Fibe...

If the stock is out of the question then the gas piston is another viable option. Decisions, decisions.....

What kind of Saiga you gonna buy? I just bought mint in .308 with the longer barrel. The reason I got it longer was because if I ever wanted to shorten it I can

I'm going with a x39, I need/want a cheap shooter and something featureless since I already have the BB on my AR. Some day down the road I will get a saiga 12 and convert that since it needs a BB regardless. Thanks for all the info and links.

Yes I am fairly close to Ammo Bros. Is there a link to the sale? or is it word of mouth? I went to the website and didn't see anything. Edit* - I saw the red tag ad but no specific pricing. Ill go check it out regardless thanks.

I gave up a year ago with that dude, and that was after waiting a year.

I recently got an email from BattlerifleG3, it
Stated that he was gonna have some generic sporter stocks available
For the Saigas soon but not doin custom sporterized stocks.
I guess he was just gonna have one type of stock similar to the
OEM but a lil more ergonomical. I got this email about
                        1 month ago.

I been waiting for about 2 years now. If he does offer the stock, I will use his stock, a tapco forend and dinzag FCG. That will give the 4 922parts needed without changing anything on my preban mags!
