Just FYI, I found a very cool Dargunov Web Site. The site contains comparisons to the PSL and other rifles

dragunov.net - Your source for information on Asian and European Dragunov sniper rifles including the SVD, Tiger, and NDM-86.

These Folks (At Interordance) are so incompetent, they probabaly don;t know what a scope mount is and will probably yell at you for it.

Exactly! Kingsnake, why are you calling the Romanian PSL a SV-98? Does IO call it that?

So if I wanted to make a MMG version of a Tabuk, would the SSG-2000 be the one to go with?

Yes, because the SSG-97 does not have the cut out for the pistol grip. If you cut one to accept the MMG, than you also have to make it 922r compliant. The SSG-2000 is ready to go as is. Just install the MMG grip.

I've read that shooting heavy ball ammo is hard on the receiver. Would 180 grain Winchester Ammo fall into this category? I need it for hunting.

I've heard the same thing. It's recommended not to go over 158 grains when using ammo in the PSL. For ranges that don't allow steel core ammo, Wolf's 148 grain lead core is just perfect.
