Turners Transfer free (FFL fee) is a joke!!!

I can hardly think of supporting local gun store businesses any longer... just what are they trying to say? Fk about the hobby its about profit!

    $150 transfer fee

    Location: East County, San Diego

Whole Point is trying to be a cheap single shot shotgun for a project (IE under 100$ H&R type single shot or a savage etc)

i am not a big fan of them for PPT either. The one time i paid for it they charged me for a lock without asking if i had a safe and when i picked up the gun, i never did get the lock i paid for.

Yeah apparently thats CA law though. Not sure the EXACTS of it though...

I wish there was some place in SoCal that had REASONABLE rates.... the **** anything over 50$ including DROS is stupid.

It's hard to even still want to support ANY CA gun business, if they are screwing us, then we have no where to turn.

Hopefully you can find an alternative where you live.

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks & corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

I am in OC. I went to Turners and they advised me that their fees were/are in fact a joke and to head to Ade's. So I did $60 there

Most places I see anymore are between $50-$70 OTD.

Straightline Tactical in Anaheim charges $50 OTD. Used them for a Sig P225 FFL transfer and the transaction went smoothly. Don is a straight up guy.

what they are saying is that they don't want to do transfers, that doing a transfer doesn't support the local gun store when the profits go to the out-of-state dealer. So, they price their transfer fee accordingly.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

I thought the law was somewhere along the lines of 36 bucks or so?

the law mandates that a PPT transfer can cost no more than $35 total, $25 state DROS fees + $10 dealer fee. But a PPT is defined as a trasnfer between two CA-residents, who both go to the FFL to do the transfer. If the firearm is shipped in, or the seller is not a CA-resident, then it is not a CA-defined PPT transfer, and at that point there is no limit to the fee the dealer may charge in order to complete the transfer.
