    Ammonia smell on AR-15?

Why do I smell ammonia when I fire my Ar-15? Does anyone else experience this?

What kind of ammo you shooting? Certain ammo like surplus have that "not normal" smell. There was some .22lr someone was shooting that smelled kinda like ammonia.

Probabaly the powder. Some smell funny. I hate the smell of Wolf Match .22lr but it shoots so good.

part of owning an AR15 is getting the ammonia smell knocked back into your face after each shot. at least for me

if you dont like it you can get a PRI gas buster.

my AR smells like matches when I charge it... im guessing it is the paint on the charging handle.
