    20" upper worth?

Ok I am a lil dated, I realized I have a 20 " fixed handle a2 upper. Marked C MP B ( I believe Bushmaster) I believe Chrome Bore. Maybe has 50-100 rds though it. I am not sure if 1/12 ( I assume) or 1/9 ( I would think it would be marked as such). I can do twist rate w. a cleaning brush I know. I am guessing mid- late 1990's. What is the going market rate today for this? Does it still have a purpose? I need a scope due to poor eyes, so Iron sights are out.

    Thank you for you feedback

To give you an idea ... I purchased a complete A1 20" upper with furniture/buffer tube, spring, buffer for $400 a couple months ago. My guess will be about $350-$375.

It all depends on who you sell it to and where they're located. I'd offer you no more than $200, but I'm sure in California you could probably score $300 out of it. DS Arms is still selling their brand new 16" uppers for $265, so that would be a bargaining point people would probably go off of.

Politely, it would not make financial sense to me to have a dedicated .22 upper (that I did not think about b4) for $conversion kit cost vs the $200 but thank you

If it is indeed a 1:12 upper, a .22 conversion kit would be a great idea.

Agreed +1 dollars !!! JK ... just run a cleaning brush down the barrel, pull it out slowly and measure how long one turn is. If it is indeed a 1/12 then it'll be perfect for a 22lr.
