    Muzzle Brake

Hey guys have a question for you. I'm trying to reduce the recoil as much as possible for my wife's AR (I know but she is petite). What would be the most effective brake or what would be your guys suggestions. Thanks allot guys.

Muzzle brakes don't realistically do anything on lower caliber rifles. They're meant for much larger cals like 50, 510, 416, etc.

If you want to reduced FELT recoil you could go with a pad at the end of the buttstock (there are many options depending on what kind of stock you have) and also using low velocity rounds.

Dunno, these are made by San Francisco guys and they seem to be getting good reviews from "real" end user types. At least one of the company guys is a member here too.

I'm thinking about picking one up just to support a local company that seems to have great CS and a great product.

You'll have to let the Olympic Shooting Team know they don't need 'em anymore...

OP should check out the BattleComp or even a short "gill" style. Could recommend others but they add more weight than you're wanting.

I've noticed that brakes have worked on every rifle I have tried them on. Whether it's worth the noise on a .223 is debatable.

Recoil is very personal. Some are more sensitive to recoil than others.

To my limited experience, 7-8 different types, my vote goes to JP Recoil eliminator.

However, you need to be prepare to deal with the increased level of loudness. More effective brakes tend to be louder.
