DPMS Question

Hey guys,
I friend of mine wants to sell a rifle to me but I'm not sure if it is a legal rifle to own in CA. It's a DPMS model # LR-308B. Now on the mag well it does say Pantther Arms. The rifle does have a bullet button on it and it would come with 4 four 10 round magazines. So is this a legal rifle to have/own in CA? The ID flowchart "appendix B" has listed (DPMS: Panther (all)) But looking at the rifle the model # does not read "Panther", it says LR-308B. I'm hoping someone can help me out with this. I really want to buy this riifle.

Sounds like your friends has an illegal AW to me. DPMS Panthers are a no go.

"DPMS Panther" is illegal, regardless of caliber or sub-model.

A bullet button does not make these rifles legal.
