There are several SWAT teams that train with the .50 cal. Its not meant for people (although it certainly can be), but as someone else mentioned its for "hard" targets. Vehicles, engine blocks, hard walls, aircraft (on the ground) & etc. It can also be used for psychological reasons (showing suspects who are barricaded how it can punch through things). Even if the 20mm rifle were true that ain't nothing compared to what the other Fed agencies (US Marshall, Secret Service, State Department & etc) have.Comment

Considering arms, should the crazy rich guy be able to buy a suitcase nuke? Scientology be able to field military watercraft for thier navy (yes scientology does have a navy though its extremely homo) like destroyers? Should the grand wizard of the KKK (kkk has tons of revenue) be able to have an abrams main battle tank?
Just a curious question.Buy my EO Tech XPS3-0!!!
For those nutjobs who like to use the word "gouge"
Note: I did not write the above article.

Not trying to play devils advocate here but I am actually truly curious. Where is the line drawn? I ask this to people who say that we (average citizens) should have whatever the government does but I start naming things and they back peddle, "no no! no one should have that!!"

"Arms" means those weapons normally carried by a person.
Back then: bows, clubs, swords, knives, pistols, rifles, shotguns, etc.
Now: same.
We do have a few odd variants now such as flamethrowers, hand grenades and rocket launchers that are commonly carried by soldiers, but weapons like these are too indiscriminate for use in heavily populated areas, so I am sure they would be considered "dangerous and unusual" and therefore prohibited for general use by SCOTUS.
Back in the day, the city town or state would supply any needed cannons, ships, supply trains etc as these were too expensive for most citizens to keep and maintain.
Nobody will get to carry suitcase-nukes, nerve gas bombs, RPG-7s or mini-guns.
Just look at the states that already have CCW or LOC and see what's allowed for guidelines.

Wow - the comments on that "Nut-R-Us" site are so much more intelligent and enlightening than anything you have offered I recommend you read them and learn before offering any more of your "sage" observations here. Or you can continue to look like a ...er, well, what you apparently are.Comment

I saw one of these on Gun Broker recently.....if I move to a free state why not? Getting an NFA stamp isn't that difficult in many states. You guys whine like a bunch of anti's "Why would anyone need one of these?" Uhhhhhh because you can, it makes a really cool big bang, and would be entertaining to shoot at all sorts of things. When someone pulls out their 50BMG you pull out your 20 and do your best Crocodile Dundee imitation "You call that a gun?"Originally posted by Daytripper63"Looking a bit angry, he asked why I thought it was a Republican truck. I explained that if it were an Obama truck, the seats would blow smoke up your *** year-round. I had to walk back to the dealership. The guy had no sense of humor."Comment

But the military is in control of those items, so they are in the hands of competent professionals who respect the rights of American citizens - not the FBI.Comment
