    Ar10 help

I wanna buy a ar10 lower and upper and wanted your advice. Which lower and upper is quality material. If there's a company that sells a nice bull barrell complete upper that's fine but if not Then just refer me to a stripped upper and I'll get it barrelled. Thanks for the help in advance. Oh and by the way I want this to be a heavy rifle just for target shooting and a 20" plus barrel. So weight is not a problem. Thanks. - Justin

        I just picked up a new DPMS 24" for a song. http://www.dpmsinc.com/store/product...=1994&cat=1607
I wish I could tell you how it shoots, but I am in the middle of deciding lower, stock, lpk ... etc.
The POF lower is def on my list, as is a CMMG. I am also thinking of the lower cost of Tactical Machining. That way if I don't like it I am in it a couple of bones less. Considering how little I got into the upper ( I am not gonna say how much but my buddies thinks I stole it for what I paid ).

Which pattern are you looking into? the actual ar-10 pattern or the DPMS pattern? and how much are you willing to spend on the upper alone?

Go with the DPMS Pattern if you are building. More product and magazine availability. You can use the new LR .308 PMAG Magazine on it and Cost is lower as well. If you want pure bad ***-ness...go POF or LWRC (but $$$$$).

              LR .308 PMAG

My intentions are a precision autolaoder prs stock nf or some sort optics. It's gonna be kind of a side build so it will take time. 4k is probly all I want to spend on it with optics give or take a few hundred

Iron Ridge Arms co. makes beautiful uppers/lowers and rifles, I have an IRA lower and the fit and finish is flawless and there is zero wobble between the upper and lower. Check them out, The owners name is Oliver and he is a super guy

My first choice would be Kaiser of course!!!

But I love what the folks at Iron Ridge are doing and can strongly recommend them. Plus, they are good people to deal with.
