    Nope not true, the mags aren't compatable. I think I remember an experiment on lightfighter.com where they tried to use standard .223 mag bodies and they didn't hold up the 6.8. I have handled the PRI 6.8 30 round mags (out of state of course) and they are *way* thicker and stronger than normal ar mag bodies.

      Fjold, 732 yards! You are the man.

      I hunt the CA deserts and use my Remington 700 or my Mini-14. Both have their advantages. The Mini is my choice in extremely brushy areas with expected targets of less than 100 yards. I like it much better than a shotgun for close in work. I have a fast follow up shot for multiple targets.

      In SHTF, the mini would work good too. Most of my urban targets would be less than 100 yards.

      I just pick the right tool for the job. Good shot on that coyote.
