They just brought out the "target model" in a ca legal stock.

No sign of 30 round magzines to civilians.

With a target MLRP of $995, wonder how much they will actually sell for and if they actually gain in accuracy any.

I love the fact that it comes in a cheaper stock and they chagre the same price for the rifle.

Redesign for use with AR Mags and put a Picatiny Rail on them and the Mini would be a winner again. Short of that, they'll continue to gather dust sitting on our local gunshop's shelves.

I love my Mini's, I have never had cause to hate them. Thet arent really accurate but with 30 round factory mags they can be made to hit your target. Running squirells hate my Mini's. Keep on hating Ruger products it makes them cheaper for me to buy.

Why buy a mini in 6.8 when you can have an AR upper in 6.8? Isn't it the AR upper is far more accurate? No need of bedding or modifying.

My Mini is as accurate as my AK.

The Mini has better sights than my AK and a better trigger. The reliability is the same.

                    It is a good gun.

In their advertising they are saying that their target models outshot the AR-15 rifles at recent industry competitions.

You've always been able to get a Mini-30.

Is 6.8 that much better than 7.62x39mm to justify a new rifle and weird new expensive non-milsurp ammunition?

I get 2-3 MOA with my Mini-14. I had the barrel cut to 16". It works fine for coyote hunting and jackrabbit hunting. It would do the job for SHTF.

                            Here is the picture

If you can hit a coyote at 75 yards, a bad guy would be easy.

Do you think these would work with the standard and/or pre-ban Mini-14 mags? I've heard that the AR .223 mags work with the 6.8 with no modifications, is this true? c good

It depends on how far you want to hit coyotes, 2-3 MOA won't do for the kind of shooting that I do.

If you can hit a coyote at 732 yards, a bad guy would be easy.
