It'll flat out kick your a**.......mmmmkay.
id have to say that is a correct statement. although most of the complaints are from the military about "stopping power" but i have to think the enemy would be capable of using some type of body armor making the round less efficient? Just seeing the shear power of the 5.56 shot from an AR makes me wanna crap my pantalones

Military is limited in what ammunition they can use - we are not.

Load choice makes the 5.56 very effective.

Many, Many times my freind. I just want something bigger. I don't "need" a Mustang GT, a V6 model is cheaper to fuel, cheaper to insure, and will get to ~ 130mph, enough to kill you. I wanted a GT, so I bought one.

              Sometimes you want bigger.

Gotcha! Well then, if its horsepower you want then you gotta pay to play! Lol like someone else said, DPMS is the cheaper way to get into a .308 AR, but if you gotta have the best be ready to spend some cash. I just finished my POF P308 and have over $4500 in it.

The AR10 type rifles are different than the AR15 variants. Its not as simple as an M4 chambered for the 308 because the 'frame' was redesigned to fit the larger round.

The analogy of a Mustang, with a V6 or V8 motor, is more like an AR where you can swap uppers - 22lr, 9mm, 223/556, 6.5, 6.8, 50 beo, etc etc. So I would say a AR15 is like, lets say, a Camaro, when compared to the AR10, which would be a Corvette or something. So if you want more horsepower, you definitely gotta pay to play.
