Does the charging handle reciprocate with the bolt? Or does it only go back when you pull it back? Is the upper a standard upper, or has it been specially modified for this? What about the BCG? It is a standard part, or is it custom for this set up?

              Hey GTMB,
-The REACH system is non-reciprocating during the firing cycle
-The upper receiver has had a small modification to use the REACH system, or, if the user prefers can use a standard "T" rear charging handle
-works with DPMS or Armalite standard BCG's with a DI gas key, aftermarket pistons systems may work depending on configuration.

Our receivers are made from 7075 T6 billet and are type III hard coat anodized.

We design our products using mechanical engineers, not some machinist in a garage shop (no offense to machinists, my father was one), therefore we can form and contour alloys in ways more akin to an artist with modeling clay. This isn't just for cosmetics, every feature is designed to reduce weight and increase ergonomics but allow strategic reinforcement in key areas. A by product of this is a great futuristic look or some wondering if its "plastic" because they've never seen such attention to detail on a black gun.

                  Greg,

I think the reach system is a cool idea. What is involved in removing the charging handle in that configuration? Can you put up some videos showing how to break it down? I assume it requires proprietary rails - what options for rails are available? You should put WAY more photos and information on your website

From an aesthetics perspective I am not crazy about the overuse of the hexagons. I think it starts to look like a bee hive. I think limited the hexagons to the logo on the lower only would go a long way towards improving the looks. This may be my opinion only though.

Well that is a good thing. I can see some poor schlub breaking his thumbs with it if it were reciprocating. Ouch. Any plans on an AR15 version?

REACH as well as some of our new, as yet unreleased products, are 5.56 AR compatible. We are horribly delayed on our new 5.56 as we are trying to keep up with the 7.62 orders, we hope to claw our way back on schedule over the next 30 days.

Ok, I went and fondled one. They are nifty. The REACH can be used on a standard upper AR15 with the addition of the plug at the far end and the rail system? How much does it cost? And how hard is it to install?

                            GTMB,
Yes, it will work on 5.56 AR platforms (we will have complete 556 upper assemblies soon).
Don't have pricing on the retrofit kit yet.
While it is only a simple mod to an existing upper, we will be only doing the mod in-house until we've vetted some gunsmiths or larger dealers on the install process. After the mod, you may use either REACH or traditional T charging handles.

Any idea how soon you guys will come up with a price list for the retro-fit kit and mod? Or even a ballpark figure?

Hey Kaiser, I was watching Shooting Gallery's coverage of the SHOT show and saw your rifles a few times. BEAUTIFUL! Looking forward to the REACH.
