AR15 Upper Assembly

I am building a Cal Legal AR15. I am by far an idiot in this subject. This site has gave me knowledge that has helped to get me started. So for I have a CMMG lower and thats it. I am going with a Stag LPK, and a Magpul stock. I also would like some sort of sight(ACOG, HOLO, or a red dot). And to my question, what is a good upper assembly that is accurate and has good reliability and durability. Money is not much of an issue, but I dont need the latest and greatest. This AR is just for play. If i sould like I don't know what I am talking about, it is because I don't, but i am learning. Any input on what is good would be greatly appreciated.

If you can swing it I would go with this one from BCM it is reliable and durable and from a great company.

Do you want more of an M4 style or do you want a longer barrel for more accuracy?

M4 style would be good the next maybe for accuracy

You might want to check out www.fulton-armory.com. They're doing a 10% sale for a few more hours end of the day tomorrow. I don't have experience with their 5.56 stuff, but I have an impressive .308 from them.

how come theres no noveske love? The basic carbine is 850 shipped, and u get a free lower.....

if you want accuracy get a stainless or chrome moly barrel, your going to lose a lot of accuracy with a chrome lined barrel

yah if ur shooting beyond 200 yards, hes buidling an M4...not really gonna make that big of a difference, but hey, to each his own

It is a good value right now with the free lower, but it's still a bit more than BCM, and has some comparative deficiencies (BCG & upper quality).

The n4 light barrels are very good. I prefer their profile to the gov't.

You lose some. The difference, with a comparably priced SS barrel to a typical CL, is that the CL will shoot 1-1.5MOA (certainly under 2), while the SS will be definitely under 1MOA, tending toward <0.75. With match ammo.
