No telling since it depends on whether or not settling is an option and if it isn't then it's off to court which can take quite some time.

Sounds like this is currently a voluntary hold on Magpul's part, in which case, it'll last as long as they want it to last. This is pure speculation on my part, but they may be doing it as a show of goodwill in an attempt to settle the case early.

If Vltor succeeds in getting a preliminary injunction (I have no idea if they've filed for one yet), then the hold will become court-imposed and will last until the case is resolved, whether by settlement, dismissal, summary judgment, trial verdict, or other means. If Magpul actually loses on the merits, then Vltor might also get a permanent injunction, in which case the hold will last forever -- or until Magpul redesigns the ACS in a way that doesn't infringe the patent.

HMMMM, Bad Lever, MBUIS flip up sights and now the ACS. SUp with magpuls design department. If I were the boss, I'd fire them for not doing their job right. . . . . . or is this Magpul's MO to take someone elses design, rebrand it and then run with it. Sure makes it difficult for dealers and customers!!!!

If anything this is a failing of the legal department that needs to do patent research to see if they are infringing. That is not a job I would envy when it can be something as esoteric as having a similar model number or using a similar term. Magpul's design department is top-notch. I found it pretty ironic at SHOT when I saw that ARMS is coming out with a set of polymer flip sights
