There were several flavors to choose from, regular, hot cinnamon, or bacon. Im a man of danger so I chose Hot cinnamon to use with my bump fire buttstock.Comment

From some random site - here's the semi-scientific way to test:
For all those that shoot military ammo and don't know if what you are shooting is corrosive or not, there is a test ya can do to see if it is corrosive.
Take a plate of carbon steel, anything that can rust easily. Shine it up with sandpaper and remove all rust leaving bare shiny steel. Pull a bullet from a live cartridge you want to test and dump all the powder out. Chamber the primed empty case and place the muzzle of the gun about 1/4" away from the shiny steel plate. Fire the primer off, depositing residue on the steel plate. Clean your rifle as if you have just shot corrossive ammo. Set the plate aside for about 2-3 days then examine it. If the residue area is much rustier than the surrounding steel, it is corrossive. If it isn't much different then it is not.------------------------------------------------------------

The test as stated is the only sure way. However, I doubt it is corrosive. Is there a year head stamp? Assuming is is new than the 80's I would bet your fine. You might try asking the question on one of the M14 forums. The only thing that is worse than an idiot, is someone who argues with one.Comment

The calguns search does suck, but sometimes people ask questons on here instead of searching becus its actually faster and there are alot of people on here that know alot about guns. So to me its kinda annoying when, somebody says "use the search button" or "google". I have tried to use search button on here and google and sometimes cant come up with the answers I am looking for.. I thought thats what Calguns was for, to learn and teach others..
