My first rifle was bought in 1987 at B&B Guns in North Hollywood, it was a Springfield SAR-48 .308 that I payed just a little over 600 including tax. Ah the good o'l day

    Wow, you are old.

The first rifle I ever bought was a Winchester model 70. A ( what I thought was my best friend) friend of mine borrowed it to go hunting but neglected to bring it back from Texas.

The first rifle I got in california was my SKS

A Chicom SKS my Father brought back from Vietnam/Cambodia. It was unfired and smothered in cosmoline, complete with capture documents, and 375 rounds of 7.62x39.
Next to me in the blackness lay my oiled blue steel beauty. The greatest Christmas gift I had ever received, or would ever receive. Gradually, I drifted off to sleep, pringing ducks on the wing and getting off spectacular hip shots.

Still one of my favoriate rifles, and I still have about 100 of those original rounds left. I figured I'd save them for -- something? Since then, I've bought3 more SKS's just for the heck of it.

I guess it's kind os a family tradition as my Father's first rifle was a 7.7 early Japanese Ariska captured on Guadalcanal.

Yes, we both have the bug and have it bad.

My dad gave me his 30/40 Krag when I was 8, bought me a Marlin .22 magnum rifle after that, and later a mini-30. Right after I turned 18, I bought 2 LMT lowers and a Mk12 upper. That covers 1st Old *** gun, 1st rimfire, 1st centerfire, and 1st set of guns purchased on my own. The rest is history.

I'll have to do so later as it is currently sitting in my safe at my Dad's. I'll see them before the 1st and I'll post it for you then! For sure!

The first rifle I ever bought was a Tula SKS back in the 90's. All matching numbers. I still have it, and it's one of my favorite rifles.
