    Pmag Problem

I'm having an issue here and im not sure whats causing it. I got some new Pmags for the AR and took them out with me to the desert to shoot this week. Now I was only able to load 27 rounds into them and when I did and tried to slam them in with a closed bolt, I had a hell of a time. They just didnt want to get in. Never had this problem with my old USGI mags Anyone ever had this kind of issue?

I've used my buddy's pmags out by his place in Vegas. Great mags. Never had any problem of any kind!

It would only fit 27 rounds? All the mags were doing this? Sounds kind of strange. Seems like there may be a manufacturing defect. Did you also try different (brand) ammo?

I've put both full USGI and PMAGS into rifles with closed bolts, a little tight, but with no issues.

I was about to quote your first post zombieflanders but I see you deleted it.

Yeah I am loading it with Remmington 55gr .223. I only tried two of the mags. I am not sure if the springs might be in the mag wrong, but I took it apart and tried it all different ways with nothing helping.

Have you looked inside the mag body? Maybe unfinished plastic that is preventing the follower from going all the way down?

very strange, contact magpul. I have used many many Pmags, and never had this problem. As a matter of fact I am pretty sure I've loaded over 30 and been able to seat the mag on a closed bolt.

I have a S&W MP 15T and have seated 30 rds easily on a closed bolt. You sure your not losing count?

I just tried inserting a PMAG on a closed bolt (NOVESKE LO-PRO)...no issues.
