Are the parts Ti or maybe the Firing pin? That would explain some of the cost. Is that really what they charge the Government or is that just conjecture ? Just curious. My knee jerk was to jump in with both feet, but unless that is the cost and they are made of some special metal or process, no need to get riled.

Plus do we really need to bash KAC, honestly is it really necessary? All we are doing is adding fuel to the fire to give KAC even more of a reason to limit what they already limit to what they sell to California. Unless you have an a SR-25, I really don't see what all the brewhaha is all about, and if you can obviously afford one and get one, well that right there is a totally different story.
*No I don't own a SR-25.Comment

It's a damned AR, if there's anything different it's the width of a bolt or the length of some spring etc.Comment

I have a feeling that price is just "what they charge." If they want to charge that, fine. If people want to pay - and are happy to do so - fine. But that won't stop the rest of us laughing over a 200$ firing pin.Comment

Because the material for their bolt carriers has to be mined from glowing space meteorites found only deep within the jungles of Bongo-Bongo? Or is it because their "proprietary BCG" is in fact a living organism, and if mishandled it may turn on the assembler?
