    SU-16 Problems

SO, I took my Keltec SU-16 out of the safe today and the bolt is stuck. The last time I shot it I used brass cased ammo, cleaned it thouroughly, oiled it back up, and tucked it away back in the safe. I have a rechargable dehumidifyer in the safe, and there is no other surface rust on it nor any of my other rifles. Any ideas? I am a few steps from boxing it up and shipping it back to the manufacturer.

    Thanks,
    BBR

Didn't mean to insult, just that I heard of someone with the same problem, and not think to pull the empty mag and cycle it. Thats strange though, maybe a small chunk of brass in the bolt assembly....? I mean there is not much to go wrong in those, I just took a look at mine and other than an obstruction in the gas tube....? Hope you clear it up.

Sell it and buy ammo for the AR. Or get a new XPS, they are really nice.

Have you tried to jar it open like you do with an AR, that is hold onto the charging handle and give it a good smack at the buttstock into the ground?

First off, thanks for the replies. I appologize if my response was gruff, dislexic fingers and dinner on the stove = distractions.

As far as the gun, I tried smacking the charging handle with a rubber mallet, I ran a long solid brass rod down the pipe and tried jarring the bolt, I even tried dropping the gun on the ground onto its butt, hoping to break whatever is sticking it free. I will try the keltec forum, maybe they know whats up. I will keep everyone posted on what the cause was, If I ever find out what the cause is.

                          Thanks,
                          BBR

Lube it from the barrel so it drips down into the bolt area. Let it soak for a while....use kroil or something that penetrates well. Then try smacking it around.
