No and yes...CMT is where stag gets their parts....Same with Noveske, Same with Highstandard. ....and a whole lot more. IIRC CMT is the parent Co of Stag.

I've had great luck with Stag. I've done numerous builds for friends and family using Stag and every one has performed flawlessly.

i am a 100% supporter of all stag stuff for my hardware. never let me down, shoot great. i dont mind gas operation.

only thing id prefer would be all colt.

In my experience, CMMG kits have very weak springs but the rest of the parts should be good.

I have always used Stag when I can find them, they by far have most consistent high quality parts.

I've used CMT, cmmg, double starr, White oak and Armalite. I like Armalite the best followed by White oak and CMT.

I went with the Stag LPK, like said from others same as CMT. I wanted to buy CMT labeled LPK but G&R Tactical told me they don't sell them anymore. Then, in my research some people said Colt started using Stag/CMT LPKs in their black rifles. Don't know if that true though.

For me, G & R Tactical puts together an excellent kit. They're hard to get, though.

Out of seven AR-15 builds and one AR-10, I have found that the RRA kits have been the best with the Armalites a close second for AR-15s. My AR-10 build consisted of RRA and Armalite parts (takedown pins, magazine catch, and bolt stop). I did have one Armalite LPK that was missing one of the hammer/trigger pins, which Armalite corrected by sending me replacements, and I had one Armalite kit in which the safety just would not fit. I took one out of a RRA kit and it worked fine. That's why I would say the Armalite LPKs are a close second. The DPMS kits are okay, but not my preference.

P.S.

I love the JP reduced power fire control spring kits, though I use the stock disconnecter spring. The JP spring kits are cheap (Brownells) and have never failed to break any primers.
