I kinda want one of these - FOLD-AR upper

A little spendy for now though. For $1200 maybe I'll just separate the upper and lower with a capture block to keep the BCG in the upper

Law Tactical stock folder is a lot cheaper, but still pricey.

Shield Arms is another option. They built the folder right into the lower.

Shop Shield Arms' patented S15 magazines for Glock 43X/48 with 50% more capacity. American-made firearm accessories, magazine extensions, and precision parts.
      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

That's a lot shorter than just a stock folder. Lot of proprietary parts tho.

But the main thing is - kali legal. Maybe. The stock is not folding or collapsing.

Personally, I'd rather not mess around with the firing side of a high pressure, high velocity round.

Why not just setup the AR so the stock folds? Or get an upper that uses a captive recoil system like the BRN 180, Sig MCX, etc etc? Or get a law folder.

6 lbs. for just the upper. Yikes.

Because of CA assault weapons laws for rifles...

CA measures overall length of a semi-auto centerfire firearm in the shortest fireable configuration and non-permanently attached muzzle brake removed.

In order to be CA legal, the minimum overall length for a semi-auto centerfire rifle is 30" and the minimum overall length for a semi-auto centerfire firearm that is not a pistol, rifle, or shotgun is 30".

Since, the FOLDAR can not fire with it being folded, it is measured in it's unfolded configuration.

Legally, AR firearms with the Law Tactical folding system have their overall length measured with it being folded and non-permanently attached muzzle device removed; because the firearm can still discharge a round when folded (even though it is unsafe to do so).
