I said I didn't own one and I wasn't sure if I ever would. I also said I support OLL's and those who have them. I like battle rifles, and I really want a carbine to supplement what I do have, and what I want to get. The AR platform as was pointed out to me, is very versatile and can be configured in innumerable ways.

I still stand by the .308 vs. .223 statement I've made before, but what I'm looking for is a medium range carbine, so a .223 is fine.

An XCR in 7.62x39 is on my short list...you might be interested in one or one in 5.56 as others said.

I like the M96 a bit better though.

I have had a few Sig 5.56s too....they didn't float my boat. I do like the new of the old version....not sure what its call. The tactical one is cool too. I think I bought too soon on that one.

That's clean, I like it.

I like the 7.62x39 round. I had an SKS with a 30rnd DBM a while back and loved it. For such a short round, it really has some punch to it even out at 300 yards.

build whatever rifle you want but the paint you want to use is DURACOAT.
i kno a guy that paints firearms if you want nice paint job.
