Ar9 reliability

I have an extra ar lower that I was going to put a 9mm upper on. Was thinking a magwell inset to use glock mags if possible. When googling around it seems there's various issues with the different ways of doing this. If I just want to buy a complete ar9 upper and put it on a complete ar lower, is there a consensus pick that's reliable?

Fwiw this is for a rifle lower 16in barrel option only. No need to get creative with this, not looking to reinvent the wheel

Stern Defense adaptor is the way to go.

Make sure you have the right buffer and buffer spring.

I know that they have mixed reviews.

I use Endomags in my M&P 15-9mm with no issues. I don't use it in any types of competitions or use it for HD. It's strictly a range toy. I've read and understood the instructions. I do as they instructed and I couldn't be happy with them. If you have 30 round PMAGS you can get the 30 round inserts for them.

The upper I bought is from a retailer that has a mixed reputation for quality and customer service. It was the deal of the day a few years ago. It came completely assembled and included the BCG. I don't believe there are any name brand parts in it. It's been absolutely fantastic. No issues at all and I can hold a 2" group at 50 yards with a cheap Aim Sports reflex sight.

Going to order the stuff I need for my next build. It's going to be a little bit different. I'm going to be using a bunch of Odin Works parts in it.

Using what you have. Right now I have 3 stripped lowers in the safe. One Anderson that's going for a retro build, an ambidextrous lower that I might build up as a left hand rifle and the last one is a Glock based lower. I'm going to be building that one up soon.

I built mine on a NFA lower. It runs like proverbial sewing machine. Shot it today actually, just love that thing.
