    5.45x39

Anyone reloading, where you getting your Data?
    Results?
Before you move I tried the Reloading Site first but no one familiar with this fairly new to reloading round.
Was always cheaper to buy Loaded Ammo but those days are in the rear view mirror.

I've never even seen reloading Data for that caliber. Nor have I seen dies.
I'm not saying it doesn't exist, I just never have come across it.

Maybe someone who reloads and reads the reloading section might have some info for you.

        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Looks like data coming out with Hornady 11th Edition, they claim they have nothing today.

If you have a specific bullet and case capacity from a fired case in your rifle, I can run a quickload simulation to get you started choosing powders.

Here is the standard Quickload 5.45x39 model with a 60gr hornady flatbase vmax that I created to run a powder chooser simulation:

                Code:
                Cartridge : 5.45 x 39 mm (.215 Russ.)
                Bullet : .2215, 60, Hornady V-MAX FB 2207
                Useable Case Capaci: 24.657 grain H2O = 1.601 cm³
                Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 2.200 inch = 55.88 mm
                Barrel Length : 16.0 inch = 406.4 mm

Predicted Data for Indicated Charges of the Following Powders.
Matching Maximum Pressure: 55000 psi, or 379 MPa
or a maximum loading ratio or filling of 100 %
These calculations refer to your specified settings in QuickLOAD 'Cartridge Dimensions' window.
                C A U T I O N : any load listed can result in a powder charge that falls below minimum suggested
loads or exceeds maximum suggested loads as presented in current handloading manuals. Understand
that all of the listed powders can be unsuitable for the given combination of cartridge, bullet
and gun. Actual load order can vary, depending upon lot-to-lot powder and component variations.

Why am I not surprised that Randall is a better source than Hornady
Thanks that’s the “ back up “ I was looking for, I’m using Hornady 60 Grain V-Max #2207 bullets with Hornady Brass.

                    It's NOT tested data.
It's just a computer simulation that relies on a bunch of assumptions that we don't know to be correct for YOUR gun/ammo.
That's why I ran two different passes at different pressure levels.
Starting at the lower loads would most likely be safe and then when you start looking at velocities, you will be able to better tell where you are on pressure.

Hornady's provided data in the manual will be actual tested data in a very specific gun and components which ALSO might not match YOUR gun.
That's why they also provide starting loads.

Understand, I always start at the lower levels and build up when developing loads.
