Probably better off converting to featureless or fixed mag and de-registering them. You can sell them in CA after that wait is over.

      It's the antithesis of taking.

I was going to say the same thing. SHIPPING them out of state (or anywhere) is a big PITA. It's about finding an FFA legally allowed to ship/receive an RAW. And then of course that FFA will charge you all kinds of extra money for the service.

But there no restriction on simply locking your RAWs in a container, putting it in your car, and driving it over to AZ. Probably easier an cheaper than finding that elusive AW FFL. The drive from OC at this time of year would probably make for a fun experience overall.

Or, as many are saying, it's just the lowers receivers that are 'radioactive'. Strip all the parts off of them an apply for a deregistration of those lowers.

OP, since you have some RR AWs, I assume at least one of them in an AR-15. Can you not use the BBAWs' uppers with the older rifle(s) as well? Or would that be redundant, function wise? I'm just thinking that since, back in the day, there were no 16" mid-lengths, free-floated precision uppers. etc. If you built anything like that for the BB rifles, they might be nice to keep around to use occasionally on older lower setup(s).
