Solar Tactical (gun shop in the bay area) makes the kydex fin grips in house. They've been a little busy but maybe give them a call/ email?

The file is someone's intellectual property. Exile Machine sold the file to someone when they went out of business. But I guess not sharing movies and music is weird since it doesn't cost anything.

Oh, that makes sense. I thought it was an open source file or something.

That was what I remember since Exile openly provided the CAD for the Ergo and BCM grips previously.

Backfin backstrap for MIAD v1.1 (only) grips (fits either Type 1 or Type 2 model). Features a sturdy fin that blocks the user's thumb from wrapping around the grip and a sturdy Thumbshelf to retain assertive control. UPDATE: Attached Simplify3D factory file for 2UP Right Handed, plus Gcode file for printing 2 units RH for direct use on Ultimaker 2+ with Algix APLA filament, 0.6mm nozzle. Just add your own Ultimaker 2+ and start printing.

Another issue is that fins that can be removed without tools hasn't been established as a safe, legal option.

The MIAD requires a tool to change back straps.

Just making sure since even a screwdriver is apparently too much tool for the OP.

Prototype that uses a tool to remove
Works with the Magpul M.A.I.D. grip

This ! It's what I have on my rifle and you get to keep your stock grip while still complying by having the fin grip sleeve that you can slip on or remove when you're out of state with a few turns of a screwdriver in 1-2 minutes.

The fin has to DENY the ability of your thumb to wrap around the grip so you can grip it like normal.
Thats not true at all. Your assuming that its not in the law.

Go read the law that defines a pistol style grasp.
ANY featureless compliance grip needs to defeat that definition.
