Every time this comes up I have a forehead in palm moment.

So... we are required in a featured build to use 10 round fixed magazines because we shouldn't be able to readily change our magazines.

We can use our pre-ban hi-cap magazines in our featureless rifles because we aren't able to readily change our magazines with the absence of a pistol grip.

But, if we have a featureless build, we can use our hi-cap magazines, as long as we do NOT lock them in with a mag lock because that would make them LESS readily changeable.

    This makes perfect sense.

You would be wrong on that.
If you owned large capacity mags before the ban on sales, you can use them in a featureless build.

Oh I see it in the above post, it's ok.
None of this sillyness applies to your RAW's.

Or for now you can put a wing on your pistol grip, pin your stock or go a1 or a2 style and run a muzzle brake and you GTG... yes no maybe?

the "safe pistol" list has nothing to do with AWs, all the other semiauto rifles, features and mag cap usage laws!!!!!!!

It isn't that tricky - if you have a registered "AW" and pre 2000 mags, you are okay.

If you have a bullet button (BB) equipped rifled (i.e.: a fixed magazine rifle) YOU CAN ONLY USE 10 ROUNDERS OR LESS.

If you have a featureless build (nothing that makes it "AW" "like" SEE FLOW CHART!), and you have pre 2000 mags that aren't LEO ONLY stamped, you can use them in THAT gun.

You can legally own those magazines, regardless, as long as you owned them BEFORE the ban, you just can't USE them in Fixed magazine (BB).

This is not a black and white issue - like most of life, it is a grey issue. 30 rounders are legal to own. Depending on when you acquired them. To use? depends on what gun you are using them with.

is this all horse****e? yes. But it isn't that tricky if you stop and think.

                  le only stamp is meaningless.
loss of the pistol grip has nothing to do with mag change, according to our masters it removes the aw-ness of the piece thus allowing detactchable mag. by putting a mmg on my ak i purge all the evil commie ju-ju, making it safe and sporting. it's just not evil enough anymore.
