after reading the translated version of the post.

I'm sure there are titanium parts you can obtain for the ar15 to really reduce the weight.

heck, get the ar15 skeletonized to cut even more weight out.

but just know that by going the ultra-light route, you most likely will have a safe queen gun that will malfunction at the sight of fine dusty sand being blown around the air.

i rather like my guns to function in harsh-ish conditions so i don't have to baby them so much. it might make them have some weight to them, but that just means i need to do more stamina training to compensate.

I just care about lightening the front end; Tapered barrel & lightweight rail.

Honestly, how light you wanna go? This is the last one I built a few weeks ago..for my son. Its one of the 80% 7075 Billet Lowers I use mated to a
“BAF Enterprises” Forged Upper receiver. The barrel is a Faxon pencil contour with a low pro Gas Block & Surefire 3P Eliminator FH. The rail is 15” ff skeleton made from 6061 Billet. Uses a Nitrided Enhanced BCG and A2 stock. Weighs 6lbs 12oz. WITH a Sig red dot sight. It feels unbelievably lightweight to me. Super easy to hold with one hand and aim!

So again I ask, how light you looking for? Heck, I could shave even a bit more weight if I wanted...but like was already said, feels like it might “blow away” in a strong gust of wind if it’s much lighter! LOL!

Mainly It don't really bother me if it's light most of my Ar are all under 8 lbs with some type red dot or scope and a full mag with two extra part for the lower. My lower with everything weight in at 1lb-6.2oz without the mag, but with the mag it really depends on the type of magazine body. The upper is about 5lbs-x.xoz with everything an upper needs including backup sights and a red dot from sight mark. However the barrel a 7.5" so this is a weight loss from most standard Ar.

So i read the first few lines and gave up.... I have a lightweight 16" rig (6lbs) and a medium weight 18" SPR build (8lbs), and a long range Grendel in 20" (10.5 lbs) that weighs less than my bolt actions still. So I feel all angles are covered but I didn't do any carbon fiber or wire handguards, etc. I went with a solid build and I'm happy with them, they will last and certainly won't be piles of repairs later on.
