    Building my first AR (Featureless)

So I'm kind of a newbie to all this. Trying to build a dependable, accurate, practical rifle. I've got a list of parts that I've settled on so far but I'm unsure on the buffer tube kit. Here's what Ive settled on so far.

    M4E1 Enhanced 16" 5.56 Mid-Length Complete Upper Receiver
Shop M4E1 16" 5.56 Mid-Length Complete Upper Receiver and more online at aeroprecisionusa.com. Free shipping on all orders over $99.

Resurgent arms Featureless AR-15 Rifle Grip
ALG Defense mil spec/LaRue Tactical MBT-2S Trigger
Mission First Tactical BATTLELINK Minimalist Stock

I think I just need a buffer tube kit, bolt carrier assembly, and charging handle. Is there anything else? What would you guys suggest?

One guy suggested a Cryptic coatings BCG and a Geissele ch.

Thanks for your time, and extra thanks to all that have helped so far!

For featureless & practicality, get an ambi safety selector. Preferably, one that lets you reverse the levers themselves. Sparrow Dynamics or Radian Weapons-'Talon' are great options. Ambi-charging handles are good too; I have a Geiselle (purchased on sale). Radian- Raptor's are very popular too.

See if Aero will add a discounted BCG. I've used parkerized & nitride. Nitride tends to cost a little more but pretty easy to clean.

If going for practicality, I like a sling. USPS delayed today's shipment. I'm waiting for a Ferro Concepts "Slingster". Vtac & Magpul slings are popular. I prefer 2-point.

What are you planning with sights?

Edit: Oh..You'll need to fix your stock somehow.

Nothing planned for sights yet. I have some things in mind but I just want to build the gun first.

The Aero Enhanced is proprietary. Cant use any other handguard. The m4e1 non "enhanced" version would be a better buy imo.

          Lower parts kit.

Just get an aero BCG. You can prolly get it on sale. Sign up for Aero’s email list and get a 10% coupon. Plus they got different things on sale daily.

I have a radian raptor and aero ambi charging handle. I like the Radian better. A lot of guys like the BCM, but geissele is good to go.

you will need a different muzzle device. Cant have an A2 on a featureless. Aero VG6 gamma is a popular choice.

Aero also has a new buffer kit. But don’t know much about it.

I have the radian talon ambi safety but would prolly pick the Sparrow dynamics for feautureless. I have not problem manipulating the talon on my RAW, but cant get the same leverage with my thumb on my featureless build. The sparrow safety allows you to reverse the lever and use your trigger finger

First thing to figure out is exactly what you are going to be doing with it.

Long range shooting, hunting, home self defense etc. Then you can build a proper AR for that duty.

Talon is reversible too. Available with two long levers if one prefers .

I have that Aero upper but in 18inch middy. It has a quad rail. I love aero. Quality products. Good prices. I really like they're "billet" look. Very aggressive design but it's really a forged upper.

My next upper from them will be a pinned 14.5 that comes with a VG6.

Wait for Christmas they usually have a good sale on uppers

I have a better idea.... Build an AR correctly, and tell Commifornia you’re a 2A Sanctuary body!

Some good advice on here. Here's my 2 cents:
                        - for BCG, LMT, BCM, DD or Colt. Some info here: https://www.pewpewtactical.com/best-...carrier-group/
                        - BCM gunfighter CH or just a milspec CH works fine.
                        - mil-spec buffer tube with Magpul MOE Fixed carbine stock. Simple and cheap.
                        - Troy Ind. backup sights or Magpuls are also good (especially if you should drop rifle, they're mostly plastic so don't break as easily).
                        - if you want a sling, VTAC 2 point, padded (non-padded is good also). I use DD quick disconnect swivels on mine.

If I had to build one for all of the above, that’s what I’d want in this gun
I want a dual sport AR lol

Never mind, he was taking about the upper I suppose.
