    Removeable fin grip?

Does anyone know if there is fin grip or reasonable facsimile made that will slip over the pistol grip on an AR and quickly remove? I figure it'll be easier to deal with than these stupid mag lock devices.
Any direction on this subject is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

You do have to take the grip off the rifle to change the back straps, but it's still a pretty quick swap.

Designed specifically for California featureless AR rifle configuration.

They also have stock locks and muzzle brakes.

        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Exile Machine out of business so the backfins aren’t so easy to get.

I’d get a 10$ strike industries fin grip. It’s a built in piece but for 10$ it’s solid. If you want to switch it out it’s one bolt to change to a standard grip. You could probably switch grips quicker than removing a three bolt slide on fin grip that cost 30$.

I think what you are looking for is a Kydex grip wrap. Check out munkeeboi in this forum for that. Swapping out a grip on a AR is fairly quick though, and our grip still allows you to wrap your thumb around. It is worth a look. Either option is good in that you wouldn’t be sending dollars overseas.

An AR pistol grip is held on by ONE screw.
The grip wrap is held on by 3 screws.
It's probably faster to just swap pistol grips than to remove and then re-install 3 screws if you use an allen-head screw to hold the pistol grip.
An allen wrench is easier to manipulate than the slot screws used to hold on a grip wrap because the allen wrench stays in the socket head so much easier than a slot screwdriver stays in a slot head.

Keep one grip with a fin and another without.

But you remove the grip and forget about the spring, and then you spend an hour on the floor trying to find it!

Kydex overwrap grip fins should all be removeable, unless you're a dumb-dumb and use rivets instead of screws to secure the two sides together.
