Featureless Muzzle Device that has low flash

I want to build a new featureless rifle, most of my current rifles are BBs.

Was wondering if anybody has experience on which muzzle brake /comps has low flash signature? I'm asking because I have night vision and I don't want the binocular to flash white every time I fire.

Wouldn't that reduction make it a flash hider by definition?

Kinda contradictory as a featureless rifle can’t have a muzzle device that reduces flash

are fake cans considered flash hiders?

there are also brakes with sleeves, although i can speak to the legality of those either.

Stay with me here, it's possible that a muzzle device could have flash reducing but don't put them in the advertising.

You forgot that CA has been dealing with this for years Padawan.

Advertising is one thing, design is another.

Look at the PWS FSC gen1 series. Even an ATF letter calling it a brake wasn't enough to counter the design features triggering feature status.

MFI had to design 2018 compliant muzzle brakes to conform to CADOJ regulations, before they made products that were like what you're looking for.

"flash suppressor" means any device designed, intended, OR THAT FUNCTIONS to perceptibly REDUCE or redirect muzzle flash from the shooter's field of vision. CCR 11 s5469 (b)

Okay so we go with that definition, doesn't that make most of these comps and brakes ill legal because don't most of these things have some kind of redirect muzzle or flash properties?

Welcome to the state of featureless.

That's why people go with something like a closed front A2 or a thread protector. Loud, flashy, but legal.

For you, fixed mag is the only way to get the NV-friendly flash reduction without going into AW territory.

Linear comps with a larger blast chamber seem to show less flash than others that blast gasses to the side and upward, for whatever that's worth. The design itself is not made to affect the flash, rather to redirect the noise. I've noticed less flash from those types though...

Put on magnified optic and you will not see the flash.

How about a surefire blast warden on top of a surefire socom muzzle brake?

Yup, flash redirectors are the way to go.

                              Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.
