The woo is a great system. Gas piston of an ak, lower of an ar and the gas plug of an fal. Kind of looks like a galil. The koreans cherry picked all the best features of the most prevalent rifles of the era and frankensteined it together. It came out wonderful. This rifle was birthed by a license renewal fee to keep manufacturing the m16. The koreans thought it was too much so they did their own thing. Truly a brilliant rifle and well executed.

And if you haven't seen the folding stock, it's basically from the FAL Paratrooper. It's rock solid when unfolded.

Yup, full Korean. The Daewoo is a gun of my people. I also have a Korean-made Arisaka Type 99 made in Incheon (Jinsen in Japanese). Would like to pick up one of those Jin Iron Works 1911 clones they made in Busan during the Korean War, and of course the holy grail of any Korean gun collection would be any legit and intact North Korean weapon, be it a Type 63 SKS or the Type 58/68 AK

Daewoo K1 during the 1992 LA riots. They didn't care about the Roberti Roos law when stores needed to be protected from packs of rampaging looters back then.

Man that would be nice pickups if you can get them. Interesting thing is I had 형's that were high school students during the riots and were there protecting their family stores.

            Daewoo K2 owner here.

These are very robust rifles and good quality of manufacture. Not many parts will swap with the Stoner rifles. Parts are harder to come by now. I have gotten some parts from a guy in ARizona, but he's closed his doors.

I have mine posted out of state, but I get a chance to run it a couple times a year when I go visit.

I sure wish they could import these bad boys again.

I got mine the day Bush banned imports after the Stockton shooting. I ran down to the LGS and found it in a corner of the display case. It was the only semi-auto the owner had forgotten to mark up to gouger prices. He was PISSED when he came back from lunch and saw me finishing the 4473.

FYI pricing will be set at 550 shipped. There was a lot of work that went into getting these right, and actually had to invest in some special tools needed to do some of the fabrications. Once they are all done we will post them in Marketplace Sales. The Barrels will be 16inch, however if you are interested in getting a shorter barrel 14.5, we can do that but we need to work that out with some sort of deposit. Also the barrels will be cross posted in a few sites so first come first serve.

                Thanks,

                Dale

                  Love the Woo's

Make sure you post in FalFiles as well. There is a group of Dewoo lovers in there under the Daewoo section. Not a lot of views, but dedicated and very knowledgeable max/k1/k2 shooters in there

I always thought these were super cool. Deadlier than a Daewoo Lanos.

Unless you are Danny Mcbride driving the Daewoo Lanos - "You just got killed by a Daewoo Lanos, motherf**ker!"

                          LOL.
